History of CoRHS
- CoRHS was started in 1997 as a small, primarily green iguana rescue in Boulder
- It quickly became apparent that all pet-trade reptiles were in need of sheltering, and Colorado Reptile Rescue was officially founded as a 501c3 non-profit in 1998
- In 1999, we moved from Boulder to the city of Longmont
- In 2001, we moved to the outskirts of Longmont where we presently operate
- In 2004, we changed our name to Colorado Reptile Humane Society, to better reflect our ongoing mission of sheltering reptiles
